Shane is a graduate student working under Professor Eric Lang on ion irradiation and characterization of tungsten-based composites and alloys for fusion energy applications. Shane is originally from Pennsylvania and moved to New Mexico to pursue his undergraduate education in nuclear engineering at the University of New Mexico. Outside of his research efforts and coursework, Shane enjoys rock climbing and collecting radioactive antiques.
